200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

8 Month Program Yoga Teacher Training

We offer our yoga teacher training every other year. We are currently working with a group of trainees who will graduate in April 2019. Our next yoga teacher training will be offered in September 2019.

If you’re ready to take your yoga practice to the next level, learn how to teach yoga, and/or delve deeper into your own yoga journey, the Peace Yoga 200-hour Teacher Training program will meet and exceed your needs. Participants in our well-rounded yoga teacher training will explore the history and philosophy of yoga, establish a strong foundation in anatomical principles as they relate to asana (yoga postures), and explore pranayama (breathing) and meditation techniques. We will experience a variety of vinyasa-based asana practices with a focus on safety and alignment.

Our 200-hour Yoga Alliance approved training will prepare you to design and teach vinyasa-based yoga classes to a variety of yoga levels and learning styles. The eight-month training will focus on philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, ethics, and practical experience, enabling you to develop the skills and expertise necessary to become a successful yoga teacher.

Congratulations to our most recent group of Teacher Training graduates!

The Peace Yoga Teacher Training has been an amazing, transformative journey. Heather and Kerry are so knowledgeable. It is a true gift that they share with the group.

What makes the Peace Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training Program different?
We strive to create a curriculum/training program that will prepare you to teach yoga safely, effectively, and with an authentic voice, incorporating yoga philosophy and anatomy as well as utilizing effective teaching methodology for a variety of learning styles.
I don’t know if I want to teach yoga. Is this training appropriate for me?
Yes, it is…many people enroll in a yoga teacher training program with the intention of deepening their own personal yoga practice, learning more about yoga philosophy, history, and ethics, and/or taking part in a self-transformation experience.
What if I decide not to attend the training?
If you decide to withdraw from the training before it begins, you will forfeit the $500 non-refundable deposit. Should you decide to withdraw from the training after it has begun, you will receive a credit toward the next teacher training cycle.
Does completing the training guarantee graduation or registration with Yoga Alliance?
No, the teachers of the Peace Yoga Teacher Training reserve the right to refuse graduation to any individual that they determine does not meet the requirements of our program. Non-graduation after completion of the program will not result in a refund of any kind.
I cannot attend the training on a particular day or weekend. How can I make it up?
If you miss a day, you may pay ($100/hour) for a tutorial to cover the material you have missed. We’ll arrange these case-by-case. If you must miss multiple sessions, consider waiting for the next training.
