200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
8 Month Program Yoga Teacher Training
We offer our yoga teacher training every other year. Our next yoga teacher training will be offered in September 2019.
If you’re ready to take your yoga practice to the next level, learn how to teach yoga, and/or delve deeper into your own yoga journey, the Peace Yoga 200-hour Teacher Training program will meet and exceed your needs. Participants in our well-rounded yoga teacher training will explore the history and philosophy of yoga, establish a strong foundation in anatomical principles as they relate to asana (yoga postures), and explore pranayama (breathing) and meditation techniques. We will experience a variety of vinyasa-based asana practices with a focus on safety and alignment.
Our 200-hour Yoga Alliance approved training will prepare you to design and teach vinyasa-based yoga classes to a variety of yoga levels and learning styles. The eight-month training will focus on philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, ethics, and practical experience, enabling you to develop the skills and expertise necessary to become a successful yoga teacher.

The business of yoga
Our goal is for you to complete the Peace Yoga 200-hour Teacher Training with the tools you’ll need to become a confident and competent yoga teacher. Upon successful completion of the Peace Yoga 200-hour Teacher Training Program, you will be able to apply to Yoga Alliance www.yogaalliance.org for certification as a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).
We recommend that you have at least one year of consistent yoga practice before applying to our training.
In addition to attending weekend trainings in their entirety and completing homework assignments, you will need to attend 18 yoga classes (not necessarily at Peace Yoga) and donate 8 hours of yoga teaching to a group that might otherwise not have the opportunity to experience yoga before the completion of the training.
Upon acceptance, a $500 non-refundable deposit will reserve your spot.
Program: $3,000 due the first day of the training (less the deposit)
Early bird: $2,800 if paid in full by July 1
During the eight-month training, you will be eligible to purchase 10 class passes at Peace Yoga for $100 (that’s just $10/class).
The eight-month program meets one weekend a month from September 2019 through April 2020.

- Yoga Anatomy by Leslie Kaminoff (Second Edition)
